SUBTLE AND POWERFUL

The Bottle Poets are a band based out of Chicago, IL. The group consists of John McCormack, Errol Brown, Jon Balmer, and Joe Bertram. They play Rock Music that runs the range from blazing Rock to soft, subtle and nuanced Ballads. At times they sound like storytellers and at other times they let their music do all the talking. It's their musicianship, their lyrics, their collective personality that acts as the thread that connects the many diverse sounds and themes that they work with. Really beautiful and authentic, their amazing live shows translate perfectly in these recordings. McCormack's vocals masterfully evoke storytelling with his tone and annunciation while never sacrificing the power and intensity needed to make the songs great. Add the musicianship that speaks to us on a whole other level and you get The Bottle Poets, a band with talent to burn and heart to share.
